Christine Hibbard, CTC, CPDT-KA

After 20 years as a technology executive, Christine Hibbard made what others would call a downshift–but what she knew was an upshift-into the field of animal behavior. She is the founder and owner of Companion Animal Solutions.

Passionate about establishing the country’s top behavior and training practice, Christine graduated with honors from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, pursued years of advanced study with experts who included Jean Donaldson (“The Culture Clash”, “Mine”, “Fight”, “Train Your Dog Like a Pro”) and Janis Bradley (“Dogs Bite”), and then founded Companion Animal Solutions. She has completed advanced work in animal behavior, learning theory, dog/dog aggression, instructional design, and communications.

Christine specializes in private behavior consultations, in-home dog training and classroom instruction. Her passion and creativity bring fun, inventive training solutions to challenging behavior problems.

Jim Ha, PhD, CAAB

James has a Master’s degree in Biology from Wake Forest University and a Ph.D. in Zoology with a specialization in animal behavior from Colorado State University. He is currently a Research Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Washington. His academic research interests are in learning more about the social behavior of animals including primates, crows, and killer whales. Jim has demonstrated consistent success in applying the knowledge he’s gained from his academic career to domestic animals living in an ever more urbanized world. Jim’s problem solving skills and teaching ability allow him to accurately diagnose problem behaviors and apply the most effective solutions for both owners and their pets.
