Seattle Dog Training Classes
If you thought your dog could never stay on their bed when the doorbell rings, walk by another dog, cat, or squirrel on leash, ignore a hotdog being bounced off their head, walk calmly through PetSmart, or come when called when it really matters, think again! We can help you train the dog you've always dreamed of. Our innovative classes ensure that you see real world results in your dog's behavior outside of the classroom.
Reactive Rover 1
Does your dog whine, bark, or lunge on leash around other dogs, passing cars, skateboards, cats, or squirrels? In this class, we will systematically counter condition your dog to being around other dogs on leash. Turn your walks into the enjoyable experience you've always wanted them to be! Reactive Rover 1 is a two session class. The first session is a 1.5 hour long workshop without dogs. I use slides, video, and handson exercises to practice mechanical skills. You will receive instructional materials and training supplies. The second session is a 30 minute private session where you'll work with calm stimulus dogs and receive hands on coaching. This 30 minute session is held outside in the parking lot next to the Seattle Canine Club.Reactive Rover 2
Reactive Rover 2 consists of five class sessions where owners and dogs work in teams around stimulus dogs and other leash reactive dogs. We're careful to work at each dogs' level so that every dog can be successful. We work outside at Laurelhurst Park (corner of NE 45th Ave & NE 45th St). Each session is a 30 minute mini-private with Christine Hibbard.
Is your puppy 8 to 20 weeks old?
Start your puppy on the path to perfect manners and sociability by enrolling them in our Puppy Kindergarten. If your puppy is between 8 and 20 weeks old, you can start Puppy Kindergarten at any time since we don't want your puppy to miss out on that all important socialization window. Learn how to properly socialize your puppy with people, other dogs, and situations your dog will need to be comfortable with later in life.
Want to teach your adult dog new tricks?
Begin by enrolling in our Beginning Manners class. These classes will teach you the fundamental skills you need to train your dog. Then move on to Intermediate Manners and Real World Manners where we throw dinner parties and take field trips.
Want to explore your dog's "star quality"?
Dr. Louisa Beal's Clicks & Tricks class will answer all of your "how did they get the dog to do that?" questions. You'll enjoy showing your dog's tricks off to your friends and family. Who knows? Maybe a television commercial is in your dog's future!
Don't worry, we know how to be serious too. All classes taught by Companion Animal Solutions are led by highly qualified and experienced instructors. We have advanced training in instructional design and classroom management and we have a deep understanding of canine behavior and how dogs learn. Our instructors are unique in the industry because we have years of experience working with severe dog behavior cases involving anxiety, fear and aggression. Let us help you with problems such as leash aggression (Feisty Fido), separation anxiety (Don't Leave Me), fear (Fearful Fido), and resource guarding/possession aggression (Mine!).
