We use a combination of ethology and animal learning theory to treat our clients' dogs and cats. We'll teach you how to use rewards and control of rewards to increase behavior you like, and reduce the behavior you don't want. We may ask you to consult your vet before meeting with us if we suspect a medical issue might be contributing to your dog's or cat's behavior problem.

In some cases, we'll ask you to keep records of your pet's progress during our work together. Gathering quantifiable data allows us to track whether your pet's behavior is improving. If performing behavior modification exercises alone isn't providing the improvement we want, we can partner with your vet to find the right medical treatment to help us achieve your behavior goals. Having quantifiable data helps your vet prescribe appropriately. It also helps all of us track and monitor whether our combined efforts are proving effective.
